Applying for remote product management roles
What the market looks like
Remote roles draw far more applicants than local ones, so the filtering is harsher and earlier. Employers screen hardest for evidence you can work unsupervised and write clearly, because writing is most of how you will be judged day to day. Name your time zone and your overlap with theirs explicitly — it is the single most common reason a strong remote application gets set aside.
Language
English dominates remote listings, but read each posting: a role advertised as remote is often restricted to specific countries or time zones, and that restriction is usually stated once, in passing.
What product management employers look for
A product decision you made and what changed because of it: adoption, retention, revenue or time saved. Roadmaps and ceremonies are expected; the outcome of one bet you called is what stands out.

- Do I need a work permit for a remote product management role?

- State the overlap in hours rather than calling yourself flexible. “Four hours of overlap with CET daily” answers the question the recruiter is actually asking; “flexible” does not.
