Remote recruiting jobs
Openings pulled live from public and official job sources — including Jobicy, Working Nomads and RemoteOK — plus what applications actually need to show in this market.
Short answer: Remote recruiting roles are plentiful, but most carry a country or timezone requirement. Check the location field before you apply, then lead with your right to work and your hours overlap.

Applying for remote recruiting roles
What the market looks like
Remote roles draw far more applicants than local ones, so the filtering is harsher and earlier. Employers screen hardest for evidence you can work unsupervised and write clearly, because writing is most of how you will be judged day to day. Name your time zone and your overlap with theirs explicitly — it is the single most common reason a strong remote application gets set aside.
Language
English dominates remote listings, but read each posting: a role advertised as remote is often restricted to specific countries or time zones, and that restriction is usually stated once, in passing.
What recruiting employers look for
Roles filled, time to hire and the kind of hiring you did: volume, technical or executive. Name the markets you have recruited in, because a remote recruiter is often hired for a specific region.
Common questions
- Are remote recruiting jobs open to applicants anywhere?
- Often not. In our remote jobs report, 92% of 993 remote listings named a country, region, city or time zone in the location field, and only 6% set no location rule we could find. Read that field before the job title.
- Do I need a work permit for a remote recruiting role?
- Usually yes, for the country the employer hires in. Remote work does not remove employment law, payroll or tax, which is exactly why so many remote roles are restricted to places where the company already has an entity.
- How do I show I overlap with their working hours?
- State the overlap in hours rather than calling yourself flexible. “Four hours of overlap with CET daily” answers the question the recruiter is actually asking; “flexible” does not.
Before you apply
- Why am I not getting interviews? — the five causes, in the order they actually occur.
- The ATS-proof CV checklist — twelve checks before you submit.
- How to write a cover letter that gets read — one argument, not a list of achievements.
